Ontario welcomed 1,084 migration prospects to make an application for a provincial election on January 11.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program( OINP) released invites to prospects who had profiles in its Expression of Interest(EOI) system. These prospects might be qualified for among 3 streams under the Employer Job Offer classification: Foreign Worker, International Student and In-Demand Skills

Here are the invite numbers by Provincial Nominee Program(PNP) stream:

  • Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream– 264
  • Employer Job Offer: International Student stream– 762
  • Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream– 58

Candidates welcomed under the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream had work experience in the National Occupational Codes( NOC) listed below:

Health and farming professions:

  • NOC 3413– nurse assistants, orderlies and client service partners
  • NOC 4412– house assistance employees and associated professions, omitting maids
  • NOC 8431– basic farm employees
  • NOC 8432– nursery and greenhouse employees
  • NOC 8611– harvesting labourers
  • NOC 9462– commercial butchers and meat cutters, poultry preparers and associated employees

Manufacturing (outside the GTA just):

  • NOC 9411– device operators, mineral and metal processing
  • NOC 9416– metalworking and creating device operators
  • NOC 9417– machining tool operators
  • NOC 9418– other metal items maker operators
  • NOC 9421– chemical plant device operators
  • NOC 9422– plastics processing device operators
  • NOC 9437– woodworking device operators
  • NOC 9446– commercial sewing device operators
  • NOC 9461– procedure control and maker operators, food, drink and associated items processing
  • NOC 9523– electronic devices assemblers, producers, inspectors and testers

Ontario looking for more immigrants

Each year, the federal government permits the provinces and areas that run the PNP to release a particular variety of elections.

In 2021, Ontario was enabled to choose 8,350 immigrants. The province got an extra 250 elections for short-lived foreign employees in intermediate proficient professions, NOC Skill Level C.

By November 10, Ontario had actually provided 8,600 elections. The province’s migration minister, Monte McNaughton, informed CIC News in an October interview that the province is asking the federal government to double their allowance in2022 The province will get its allowance number from Immigration Canada later on this year.
